FOUR Live starts tomorrow

FOUR Live starts tomorrow at 4:30pm. In case you haven’t heard, this is the replacement for Drew and Shannon Live - Shannon remains as a host, but Drew has decided not to continue, in order to pursue his music career.

Check out the teaser video below (apparently 4:30pm is a ‘weeknight’ timeslot as opposed to a ‘weekday’ timeslot?):

   Odd about the weeknight style. But new set? see how similar this is to U Live

   Yeah, I can see some similarities to U Live, but they have distinctly different feels – U Live is more, well, live and interactive, whereas FOUR Live feels like a dumping ground for pre-recorded content en masse.

   I’d have to disagree with that. I’ve been watching FOUR Live and featured are exclusive music videos, a half hour of requests and themed segments. I find it very informative regarding entertainment and I think the “dumping ground” of different incarnations of channel 4 are over.

   Furthermore, it looks like U Live is much worse off financially because they are constantly bombard you with advertisements, under the guise of sponsorship. The latest annoying example is the LOL drink.

   So I’m very glad FOUR Live has arrived to take over U Live in every possible way.

   Glad to see that the previous dumping ground mentality of FOUR’s live entertainment offering is now over! And I totally agree – U Live’s LOL sponsorship is rather intrusive.
